To say that Blaze was nervous would be understating the obvious. Blaze was beyond nervous and for good reason. He was standing in his employer's office, while his boss fumbled with papers. He'd be called in after 2 weeks of work, and about 3 or 4 exploding inventions. Not that anyone was really paying attention to how many explosions he caused.
He was hoping that he'd be able to keep a job for more then 2 weeks of work. It seemed he never lasted past the 2 week mark with all of his jobs. He tried different jobs at different businesses but his degree was either: to high for the job or was the wrong degree required. It was really frustrating him that he couldn't get or keep any job that he wanted.
What was worse was that many employers now knew of him, and his so called curse. This made life difficult for him as the amount of willing employers dwindled to near 0 mark. It hurt even worse as everyone knew how bright he was when it came to inventions. All his inventions had merit and the 50/50 chance of exploding when he created them.
He tried and really tried to reduce all the chances of it exploding on him. Nothing seemed to work well, or worked for long. It wouldn't be long before he would get distracted by something or he'd lose something. It was then that his inventions would explode on him, often times with colorful results.
It always resulted with him being in the employer's office being fired as gently as the employer could put it. It would sting much more if he didn't get some sort of severance package after being fired from each job. It helped him get by until his next job that he got. He was going out on a limb to say that he was going without a job for a while. He had practically had jobs in his home city, and quite a few in the surrounding areas. It had been a rough year, but he was more then determined to find one that worked for him.
It didn't matter right now, it didn't change the fact that he was still standing in his current employer's office awaiting judgment. His current employer seemed to have found the papers he was looking for.
