His enhanced recovery is capable of healing only minor injuries and thus leaves him weakened with more serious injuries should he recieve them. History
Jace Q. Ripper was born to a married couple named Ray and Sandra Simaru. He was born in his parents’ home town of Hilwich Woods. His family owned several business chains worldwide. The most notable was the hotel chain that was started by his ancestors in the early days of Hilwich Woods. They lived quite comfortably as one might imagine wealthy people to live. It was nearly impossible not to see staff and servants around the family. Jace however wasn't quite raised as other wealthy people however.
Around the age of 5, he began to show symptoms of a strange version of multiple personality disorder. Though the cause was for this was never found nor explainable, he was medicated for it. Though the medication worked, family worried about what it'd mean for his future.
Worries and thoughts aside, his family tried raising him as best they could. He had tutors in all major educational forms. His great grandmother also helped raise him by teaching him the old traditions, geology, and whom to trust and not trust. It was a grand adventure for the young colt, for many a year.
Around the age of 7 he lost his mother to a strange sickness of the mind. It cause delusions of the mind, and eventually her sanity. She was eventually admitted to Hilwich Woods sanitarium for treatment. Where less then a year later she had reportedly died under mysterious circumstances related to her illness. It hit Jace and his family to have lost such a loving member of the family. She was buried a few days later with the entire family in attendance.
While the grieving process was going on, rumours spread like wild fire throughout the town. That Jace's mother was unofficially still alive in the sanitarium. The hospital repeatedly denied such claims, and tried to squash such rumors. Afterall it wouldn't do to have added grief to an already grieving child and his family. Eventually the rumors died down after several weeks, and life started to go back to relative normalcy.
Jace started to learn more about the world around him through his tutors. His education with his great grandmother started to wane off. She still taught him things like; chess, proper etiquette for various situtations, and classical reading. Both his tutors and his great grandmother were proud of his attention to detail and his growing ability as a leader.
Tragedy sadly struck once again when he was 10. His father for reasons unknown to all, committed suicide at his family estate. It was a saddening blow to Jace, and he took it hard emotionally. He started closing up and became anti-social for many years. He also became angry at his parents and the world as a whole. This continued until his great grandmother got fed up with his fits and knocked some sense into him literally speaking. She taught him how to deal with his emotional turmoil properly through meditation and exercise.
After his fathers death and burial, his great grandmother took him in and raised him. She was proud that he started to show signs of improvement and stability after she had knocked sense into him. So proud was she that she gave him the family heirlooms. Namely the family ring and a sword that was made specifically for the family. He cherished these gifts from his great grandmother.
When Jace turned 15 his great grandmother decided that he should learn the mystical arts of magic. Logic being that he was mentally and emotionally able to handle the arcane knowledge. He was intriqued that his magical abilities seemed to focus around plants. It sparked interest in the biology of plants. This was the time he decided to pursue a degree in botany and medicine.
His hope was that he would be able to find better treatments and cures for diseases that would untreated or uncurable by normal medicines. It was perfectly logical and reasonable that with his wealth that he could be able to make reasonable headway in the area of medicine. His family agreed and encouraged him to continue this line of reasoning.
Jace took over the family business at the age of 18, while he went to college. It was a testament to his drive and determination that he managed to juggle both an education and work. He also attracted the attention and following of many other students who shared his dreams. It was during this time that Jace's medication started failing to work as well as it use to. His more darker personality started whispering more to him trying to lead him down a darker path.
After several years in college he graduated with a PhD in botany and a Master's degree in medicine. He was pleased that he managed all the things he accomplished thus far. To him it was worth all the sweat and blood that he poured into the degrees. He couldn't wait to put his knowledge into action.
Afterwards his focused his attentions on the family business and started up a pharmaceutical company in Teslic Heights. He built a large mansion at that city, hired staff and servants for it, and moved in to be closer to his current pet project. He also took an interest in an abandoned village. He purchased several homes there for the purpose of remodeling the town.
He rebuilt one of the houses for the purpose of being his vacation home. He also built a secret lab underneath the home for illegal experiments. He had it specially warded against any sort of detection. He connected his secret lab with his mansion via a complicated teleportation ward. With everything the way he was envisioning, he felt that his plan was coming together. He was ready to rid the world of mental diseases by any means necessary.
